Wow! Just the best place to stay when visiting Cardiff. Homely, welcoming and an immaculate chalet with all you need for a very comfortable stay. Wayne and Delyth made us feel like we knew them for ever by their warm friendly nature! The inclusion of their gorgeous little dog Willow had our heart’s immediately. We have kept the details of Wayne’s air b and b for future visits planned to Wales and look forward to meeting the family again. We would highly recommend!

Lovely little place, quiet and private. It was spotlessly clean and lovely fluffy towels. It was warm and clean. We called and picked up the keys from Wayne’s wife and met the little dog, Willow, beautiful and friendly little Teddy. The place is completely private at the back through a large secure gate and Delyth explained everything for us. Dropped our luggage off and called back after seeing the family. Really nice and easy to use electric shower. Met Wayne and had a lovely chat in the morning. Thank you for a great one night stay, would stay for longer without a second thought and would recommend to anyone. Will stay again.

I enjoyed staying at Wayne’s & Delyth’s place. Him and his very communicative, friendly. They are great hosts. The place also was clean and I would definitely recommend it if you visit wales. It is close to Cardiff.

We were in Wales for a-month placement and spent an absolutely fantastic time there thanks to Wayne and Delyth. They are wonderful people, friendly and always helpful, I greatly recommend their place to anyone who wants to have a short or long stay in Wales. The accommodation is cosy and independent from the house, which gives you the freedom to walk in and out whenever you want without any inconvenience. Also, it is not too far from Cardiff or Newport if you drive, we could also park very easily in front of the house, which is obviously a very important point for us. Also, you cannot cook but there is a microwave, a fridge and a toaster, which can get you sorted for dinner. Del and Wayne made us feel at home every day after work so that we could make the most out of our Welsh journey, thank you so much!

It was lovely. A perfect place to stay if attending an event in or around Cardiff as we were. Shops close by allowed us to get munch. Host was very good with her local information and helped us in everything that we asked for. Accommodation was very good, it had some nice touches in side, the shower was excellent. THANK YOU very much indeed.

Great place, and as described…only a brief visit to watch Wales sadly lose to England, but lovely comfy beds…nice and clean and really handy to get into Cardiff as the bus stop is a stone’s throw away from the house…. thank you for letting us stay…we will be back 🙂

Great accommodation, Hotel Standard! It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The Wheadon family was flexible & helpful as well (giving us information to get to their place without being ripped off by Cardiff taxi-drivers and allowing us to check in at 3 am). Thumbs up!

We were staying here over the weekend as we were going to a friend’s wedding. We were out most of the time and so it was great that the accommodation was self-contained as it meant we could come and go as we needed. The accommodation was clean, the beds were comfy, all the facilities we required were provided (kettle, tea/coffee, tv, towels) and for the price we paid it was perfect. I would definitely recommend staying here.

It’s very difficult booking accommodations when you’re half way round the world but Wayne and his wife offered us our own private suite, a little house in the backyard away from the main house. This was lovely and private. What an incredible way to meet new friends. Our hosts recommended an amazing Greek restaurant in the downtown area for dinner. This BNB offered Private parking for our rental car which was important to us too. We recommend everyone enjoy this home on your journey through Cardiff, Wales.

We needed a place to stay near Cardiff that would be quiet and that could accommodate the three of us (including our 3-year-old) for a night on our travels back to London. Wayne’s garden cottage fit the bill perfectly. It was absolutely quiet, and our toddler slept quite late (for her!). Cosy and comfortable. We ate at a lovely Turkish restaurant in Barry called Izmir, which we would recommend. Thanks!

Excellent for short term stay. Clean and comfortable and the hosts are very welcoming. Bus stop right outside so easy to get to the city centre. We were down for the weekend to see Wales beat England in the 6Nations, so all-round it was perfect. Great place to stay.

We liked our stay very much. The room was very comfortable with complete privacy as it is separate from the main house. It was also very quiet which meant we slept very well at night. Access to Cardiff was very good and quite quick. Wayne and his family were very friendly and helpful and made excellent hosts.

Great, place to stay!!! We were nicely greeted with a pint. Very welcoming host and family. There is a separate entrance, great to not disturb anyone! The room itself is lovely with one double and one single bed. From Water-heater with tea and instant coffee, fridge and microwave, bathroom tidy and clean. Maybe the ceiling might be too low if you’re a basketball player, but we’re not! 😉 The Veranda in front is a perfect place to sit and have a coffee in the morning. So we had a perfect stay! This place is for you if you want to explore the neighbourhood, the beautiful Welsh Beaches on Barry Island or for a trip to Cardiff, which is one of the nicest towns. With lots of shopping opportunities, and pubs and bars (open long), great food and very friendly people. Just keep in mind late nights you might need to take a cab which is about 25 pounds. Anyhow we enjoyed the Wheadon hospitality a lot… We definitely want to go back!

A great place to stay that is just outside Cardiff. A couple of friends and I travelled to Wales to see an international rugby game and Wayne & Del were incredible hosts. There garden lodge is secure and private with its own entrance and has a bus stop that goes straight into the centre of Cardiff right outside their door. Would recommend Wayne’s place to anyone traveling to Cardiff for a weekend holiday. Wayne also has other flats available for rent so contact him if you require something bigger or in central Cardiff.
